How does it feel when others see you as different—or as an outsider?
When i came here 3 years ago, i felt a little bit different, first of all the way i talked, the way i dress, i use to like to wear a lot of dresses, shorts and sandals because i lived on the Coast of Peru, so people here in the University looked at me weird. Also, at lunch time it was very unconfortable because i dont like any milk derivative and here they put it in almost all food. the popular "natilla" and frijoles are not my favorite but i always accept it because i don’t want to be rude. Now i like frijoles, but I still dont like "Natilla".
How do others' beliefs, values, and cultural upbringing influence the way they behave?
A lot, all country have their own identity and we behave acording to that.

Week 2
How do your beliefs, values, and cultural upbringing influence the way you behave?
beliefs and values that i have from my country Peru is very similar to Costa Ricans, most of peruvians are catholics. definitely what i have learned and experienced when i was a child i apply it nowdays so i think my behavior is according of what i have learned.
Here in Costa Rica it is almost the same. Sometimes the way the speak make me feel confused, specially when i just arrived here, even though we speak the same language we speak different.
Also i my country we do not give to many hugs and mention God all the time like CostaRicans do, for example: Que Dios me la acompañe, si Dios quiere, Gracias a Dios, etc... but now i say it all the time.
